Customer Review: Line Master Shares Their Experience With Reduxio

Today’s Reduxio feedback is from Keith Worthington, Director of IT at Line Master:

“A couple of months after we installed our new Reduxio HX550, we encountered a transient error in our ERP system. The user was intermittently running into an issue where records that were being generated had incorrect data. However, every time we attempted to reproduce the issue in our Pilot environment, we could not. Finally, after finding a specific point in time at which the error occurred in Production, we took a clone of the database volume quite literally a few seconds before the error occurred, and hooked that clone up to our Pilot environment. We then retraced the steps, and were able to reliably reproduce the issue.

If we had used transaction logs or snapshots to restore to a specific hour, we would have either been too early or too late. The only way to reliably reproduce the issue was to get the exact database state at the second prior to the behavior occurring. Any sooner or later, and the database would not be in the condition that caused the error.

But it gets better. Since we took a bookmark after getting the clone attached to our Pilot environment, we can now roll back that clone to the second before the error, and reproduce again... and again… and again….
